use the shorter/prefered `$.Deferred(function)` notation in examples. fixed `filtered` to no longer leak into global namespace.

I don't think this is "preferred" but it is an alternate syntax you can use. I think the examples written as is are easier to read and understand for someone new to the concept of deferred. |
